COOK AND NEUFELD Mesmerizing ideas flow from the guitar of Kevin Cook like liquid amber. The Alberta-born musician's album "Western Union" puts his own original and confident stamp on a country-blues style that sounds old and new. Cook is an experienced tunesmith with a gift for finding the right words. His live show is energetic and unpredictable. Armed with a vintage 1920's parlor guitar, Kevin travels from coast to coast sharing the stage with some of the best roots artists in the business, like Colin Linden and John Hammond. Cook tours as a duo with Cam Neufeld on fiddle, mandolin, banjo and harmonica. "If it's got strings he can play it". This production by Vicom Media Productions tells the story of Canada's last great land rush and the difficulties encountered by settlers breaking this treacherous trail from Edson to Grande prairie.
